Prime Bank's CEO Discusses Digital Transformation Steps
Rahel Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Prime Bank

The pandemic has forced many banks in the country to ramp up their digital services, he says.

"Just having a savvy internet banking interface for the customer does not make you digitally transformed," he says. "Because unless you have full transformation done at the backend, just having a digitized interface does not help. The security challenge comes in during API integration. We are very much aware of the data privacy that needs to be taken into account, and for that, we are putting in place the right tools."

n this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Ahmed also discusses:

  • The cybersecurity conversation between the board and the CISO;
  • The procedures to follow for a digital transformation;
  • Why more boards are taking security seriously.

As managing director and CEO of Prime Bank Ltd. Ahmed has played a lead role in expediting business model restructuring and centralizing financial operations.
