Enterprises can enhance cloud security by taking several steps, including adopting the secure access service edge, or SASE, concept and using a proxy firewall, says Nick Savvides, senior director of strategic business-APAC, of Forcepoint.

“Change the perimeter to wherever the user is, and put SIEM between the data and user to gain visibility, he advises. “And the only way to achieve this is to implement a SASE and a cloud-native perimeter, a proxy cloud or firewall that enables you to see everything that a user is doing in accessing data.”

Earlier, Savvides worked at the University of Melbourne in technology-related roles.
