Lim says the increase will be driven by "the incredible increase in cryptocurrency value and the difficulty in attributing the arrest of people associated with a specific cyber campaign.”

In an interview with Information Security Media Group, he discusses:

  • The impact of ransomware-as-a-service operations on enterprises;
  • Why the OT space could be vulnerable to attacks;
  • The commodification of cyberthreat skills and effective threat intel processes.

As a principal intelligence adviser at Mandiant Threat Intelligence, Lim identifies and proactively deals with cybersecurity threats for his clients in the Asia-Pacific region. He is well versed in monitoring intelligence sources for actionable indicators/information, including open and internal sources to assess and catalog threat indicators to convey urgency and severity. Lim served as an infantry officer with the Singapore Armed Forces and participated in bilateral military exercises with Thailand, Brunei, Taiwan and Australia.
